About Ty Coppi Outdoor Adventures

Ty Coppi Farm has been in the Williams family for over 100 years. As well as being the family home the farm has been home to many different animals over the years and was once a working dairy farm.

Harry and Robert grew up on Ty Coppi farm with their parents, Barrie and Olwen who instilled in them a love for the outdoors and animals. The brothers went on to pursue careers in the outdoors, Rob a professional mountain biker and Harry an Outdoors instructor, their careers took them all over the world further instilling their love for adventure.

During the lockdown of 2020 along with Harry’s partner Brier they decided to combine their skills and create their own family business ‘Ty Coppi Adventures’ with the aim to create adventures for all from their doorstep. Ty Coppi Adventures aims to have an adventure for everyone at any time - whether it’s a special occasion or you’re just looking to try something new.

Robert

Anyone looking to push their mountain bike abilities up a gear, look no further than our instructor Robert. He is a professional mountain biker and European Enduro champion. When he is not training for his next race he works as our Mountain bike coach and guide.

Robert started his mountain biking career as a downhill rider and quickly progressed to a high level on the UK circuit, he then went on to race at world cup level before transitioning to Enduro Mountain biking where he won the European enduro championships. This coming season he is looking to race the electric enduro mountain bike World Series.

He has used his many years of racing and riding experience to create a coaching programme which he adapts to every client that he takes on. His many years of riding in the south wales valleys has given him an extensive knowledge of local trail networks that few other people have access to, this allows him to create truly unique and unforgettable guided rides in the area and again can tailor these to suit individual client’s needs.

Brier

Brier is our alpaca walking guide, receptionist and party entertainer. When you contact us Brier is the first person you will hear from and she will help you create your adventure with us. Brier moved from Scotland to Wales in 2013 to attend university where she gained a first class degree in acting, this is also where Brier met Harry.

After university she moved into Ty Coppi farm and alongside her acting work, worked as a children’s party entertainer and drama teacher for four years. During lockdown Brier came up with the idea of hosting experiences with our farm animals, we already had a herd of Balwen sheep, three family horses and a pony which looks remarkably like a unicorn and decided alpacas would be the perfect addition.

Brier wanted to create an experience for all to get outdoors and up close with the animals as she believes this is great for your mental health, she also wanted to create parties and events for children to use their imagination and enjoy the magic of Ty Coppi farm.

After attending a couple of courses in Alpaca husbandry and handling, Brier then went on to develop the unique and bespoke experiences that we now offer at the farm such as the Alpaca Walks, Fairy and Unicorn Parties and Christmas Events.
